What a transformation! By opting for a bold combination of warm orange and deep blue, the seating area now exudes character and modernity. This project began with a solid wooden base that was still fully under development. The challenge was to transform this functional, yet bare and cold, corner into an inviting and comfortable seating area. For the reupholstering, a dynamic, horizontally striped fabric in a refreshing green-blue colour scheme was chosen. This immediately gives the chairs a modern and lively look. By tackling two identical armchairs at once, we have created a beautiful and comfortable duo that will be a real eye-catcher in the living room.

Deze Gispen fauteuil kwam bij Meijer & Visser Meubelstoffeerderij binnen met een rode bekleding die na jarenlang gebruik duidelijk aan uitstraling had verloren. De kleur was vervaagd en de stof oogde niet meer zo fris als voorheen. Het herkenbare chromen buisframe, de zwarte armleggers en de karakteristieke lijnen van het ontwerp waren daarentegen nog uitstekend behouden en verdienden een nieuwe bekleding.

Na de herstoffering straalt deze Gispen fauteuil weer als vanouds. We hebben de fauteuil volledig opnieuw bekleed met een krachtige helderrode meubelstof en afgewerkt met contrasterende zwarte biezen. Deze biezen volgen nauwkeurig de bijzondere contouren van de rugleuning en zitting en geven het ontwerp extra karakter. Samen met het originele chromen buisframe en de zwarte armleggers vormt het geheel weer een prachtige Gispen designklassieker met een frisse, tijdloze uitstraling.

Voor de vernieuwing was deze Leolux Papageno fauteuil bekleed met een lichte structuurstof. De rustige kleur hield het ontwerp wat op de achtergrond, terwijl juist de speelse rondingen en organische vorm zo kenmerkend zijn voor de Papageno. De aluminium poten en de complete vorm van de fauteuil waren nog mooi intact en konden behouden blijven.

Met de nieuwe paarse meubelstof heeft de Leolux Papageno een totaal andere uitstraling gekregen. De krachtige kleur accentueert de ronde rugleuning en vloeiende armvormen en geeft de fauteuil veel meer expressie. De combinatie van het diepe paars met de glanzende aluminium poten zorgt voor een bijzonder contrast. Een opvallende vernieuwing die perfect past bij het uitgesproken design van deze Leolux klassieker.
